Bank Transfer Initiated from Chime:
You can link an external account you own to your Chime Spending Account by logging into your online account at chimebank.com. Select Move Money and then select Transfers. You will then be prompted to enter your other bank’s log in credentials and your external account will be instantly linked to your Spending Account. Once the external account is linked, you can make transfers from the external account to your Spending Account of up to $200.00 per day and $1,000.00 per month. Transferred funds will be available within 5 business days.
We support the following banks: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, US Bank, USAA, Fidelity, PNC Bank, Capital One 360, TD Bank, SunTrust, Navy Federal & Charles Schwab. We hope to add others in the near future!
Bank Transfer Initiated from an External Account:
Many banks will allow you to make transfers from their website. If you have an external bank that offers this service, just log in to their website and add your Chime Spending Account using the same routing and Account information you would use for direct deposit.
Why is my bank transfer taking so long?
Bank transfers are completed through ACH, which are only processed on business days (so Monday-Friday, excluding any Federal holidays). After a transfer is processed, our bank asks that we hold them for at least 3 business days, so it takes a little less than a week to post to your account.
Debit card transfer are limited to $200 per day with a minimum deposit of $25. Bank transfers initiated through Chime are limited to $200 per day and $1,000 per month. There is no limit imposed by Chime on bank transfers initiated from an external account. Please be aware that external banks may impose their own limits and fees.
