How do I make direct deposits?
The easiest way to deposit funds to your Spending Account is by direct deposit from your employer.
To make direct deposits through your employer or payroll provider, provide them with your Chime routing number and Spending Account number. Chime takes care of the rest.
Your funds will automatically post to your Chime Spending Account as soon as we receive them.
To get started, you can find your bank routing number and Spending Account number in the Chime app sections, Move Money and Settings, or by logging in to your account online.
How do I make bank transfers to my Chime Spending Account?
External banks allow transfers to Chime from their websites and apps.
To get started:
- Log in to your old bank's website or app.
- Look for the Transfer menu option.
- In the transfer screen, you can add your Chime routing and account number, found in the Chime app on the Settings page.

How do I make a bank transfers that Chime initiates?
You can link an external bank account you own to your Chime Spending Account using the Chime app through the Move Money section, or by logging in to your account online.
In the Chime app:
- Under Move Money, select Transfers.
- When you are prompted, enter your other bank’s login credentials.
Your external bank account will be instantly linked to your Chime Spending Account.
Once the external account is linked, you can make transfers from the external account to your Spending Account of up to $200.00 per day and $1,000.00 per month. Transferred funds will be available within five (5) business days.
Chime only supports the following banks for this bank transfer service:
- Bank of America
- Wells Fargo
- US Bank
- PNC Bank
- Capital One 360
- TD Bank
- Navy Federal
- Charles Schwab

How can I deposit cash to my Chime Spending Account?
You can deposit cash to your Chime Spending Account at over 60,000 retail locations with Green Dot. Visit https://www.attheregister.com/locations to find a Green Dot location near you!
At Green Dot, ask the cashier to add cash directly to your Chime Spending Account at the register. You can deposit a maximum of $1,000.00 per 24 hours or $10,000.00 per month.
Third-party money transfer services used to deposit funds to your Chime Spending Account may impose their own fees and limits on a per-transaction basis. These limits can include daily, weekly or monthly limits on the frequency or amount of cash you may load to the Chime Spending Account. Additionally, for any troubleshooting or issues depositing cash, contact Green Dot at 1-866-795-7597.
Can I make wire transfers to my Chime Spending Account?
Chime does not currently allow wire transfers. We will be adding this feature in the future.
How do I enroll in Mobile Check Deposit?
Chime offers Mobile Check Deposit for any members who are enrolled in direct deposit with their Chime Spending Accounts. If you have any questions, contact us through your Chime mobile app and go to the Support tab, and we’ll be happy to help.
