The easiest way to deposit funds to your Spending Account is by direct deposit from your employer.
Simply provide your Chime routing number and Spending Account number to your employer or payroll provider and we'll take care of the rest. You funds will automatically post to your Spending Account as soon as we receive them.
To get started, you can find your bank routing number and Spending Account number in the Move Money and Settings sections of the Chime app or by logging into your account online.
BANK TRANSFER INITIATED FROM AN EXTERNAL BANK
External banks allow transfers to Chime from their websites and apps. To get started, log into your old bank's website or app and look for the 'Transfer' menu option. In the transfer screen you can add your Chime routing and account number, found in the Settings page of your Chime app.
EXTERNAL TRANSFERS ARE THE FASTEST WAY TO MOVE MONEY FROM ANOTHER BANK INTO CHIME
BANK TRANSFER INITIATED FROM CHIME
You can link an external bank account you own to your Chime Spending Account in the Move Money section of the Chime app or by logging into your account online. Under Move Money, select Transfers and you will then be prompted to enter your other bank’s login credentials. Your external bank account will be instantly linked to your Spending Account.
Once the external account is linked, you can make transfers from the external account to your Spending Account of up to $200.00 per day and $1,000.00 per month. Transferred funds will be available within 5 business days.
Please note that we only support the following banks for this service: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, US Bank, USAA, Fidelity, PNC Bank, Capital One 360, TD Bank, SunTrust, Navy Federal & Charles Schwab. We hope to add others in the near future!
CASH THROUGH GREEN DOT
You can deposit cash to your Chime Spending Account at over 60,000 retail locations with Green Dot. Please visit https://www.attheregister.com/locations to find a Green Dot location near you! Simply ask the cashier to add cash directly to your Chime Spending Account at the register. You can deposit a maximum of $1,000.00 per 24 hours or $10,000.00 per month.
Third party money transfer services used to deposit funds to your Chime Spending Account may impose their own fees and per transaction, daily, weekly or monthly limits on the frequency or amount of cash you may load to the Chime Spending Account. Additionally, for any troubleshooting or issues depositing cash, please contact Green Dot at 1-866-795-7597.
Unfortunately we do not currently allow wire transfers at this time, but are working on adding this feature.
