How long will it take for my money to post to my Chime Spending Account?


The wait times for the most common types of money transfers are listed as follows:

Direct Deposit:
Your direct deposit will be posted to your Chime Spending Account as soon as it is received from your employer or payer. If you have questions about the timing of your direct deposit, contact your employer. We will send you an email and push notification as soon as it's posted.

Bank Transfer Initiated Through the Chime Mobile App or Website:

Up to 5 (five) business days (Monday-Friday) from the date the transfer was initiated (excluding federal holidays).


Bank Transfers from an External Account:
These deposits are typically received within 3 (three) business days from the date that the transfer was initiated by the originating bank. Once the funds are deposited to your Spending Account, they will be available instantly. Refer to the originating bank for more information on their transfer time frames.

Merchandise Returns:
Merchandise returns can take from 3-5 (three to five) days to appear in your Spending Account.

Cash Through Green Dot:
Within 2 (two) hours of a successful deposit.
