How do I get Android Pay and Samsung Pay on my device?


Android Pay

Step 1: Open the Google Play Store on your device
Step 2: Search for Android Pay
Step 3: Locate and tap Android Pay from the search list
Step 4: Tap Install
Step 5: Read the permissions
Step 6: If the permissions are acceptable, tap Accept
Allow the installation to complete

 

Samsung Pay

For compatible devices, a Samsung Pay shortcut will be preloaded, allowing you to download and install the app

Step 1: Navigate to and touch Apps > Samsung Pay.
Step 2: To download the necessary files, touch INSTALL.
Step 3: To update the app, touch INSTALL.
Step 4: To open Samsung Pay, touch OPEN.


Which of my devices are compatible with Android Pay and Samsung Pay?

To get Android Pay, you'll need to check that you have an Android phone running Kit Kat (4.4) or higher. To get Samsung Pay on compatible devices, a Samsung Pay shortcut will be preloaded, allowing you to download and install the app. If your device did not come with the Samsung Pay app preloaded, it is not available for use at this time.

To remove a card with Android pay:

Step1: Open the Android Pay app. If you have multiple Google Accounts in Android Pay: At the top left, touch your name, then choose the account you want to remove a card from.         

Step 2: Tap the card you want to remove.
Step 3: Scroll down, then tap Remove card. 

To remove a card with Samsung Pay:

Step 1: Navigate to and touch Apps > Samsung Pay.    
Step 2: Touch Credit/debit.    

Step 3: Touch the card you want to remove.
Step 4: Touch the View More icon. Then, touch Delete card.

Step 5: Select the reason why you want to remove the card. Then, touch DELETE.

Step 6: To remove the card, touch DELETE again.

How do I know which card is my default card in Android Pay and Samsung Pay?

The first card added to Android Pay would be the default card for payment. It will show as the first card in the list at the top of the screen. The default card will also be noted with “default card”. To change your default card, select the card that you would like to make the default, and click “set as default”.

 Samsung Pay does not have the option to set a default card. When you open Samsung Pay the most recently used, viewed, or added card will display.

 

What happens when I replace or update my device?

If you replace or update your device, you will need to add your Chime card again to the Android Pay or Samsung Pay setup.


How do I use my Chime card with Android Pay and Samsung Pay on Android or Samsung wearable devices?

To use Android Pay on your wearable device, just wake up your watch, open the Pay app, and an image of your selected card should appear. From there, just tap and pay on the terminal like you would. Samsung Pay on Gear is integrated into your Gear S2and S3 software. Press and hold the Back key to open Samsung Pay. If Samsung Pay is not available on your Gear, it may be necessary to update Gear Manager via Google Play store and update the Gear software.

What if my device is lost or stolen?

If your device is lost or stolen, you can temporarily block your card using the app or by logging into your account at chimebank.com. Go to Settings and turn off Chime Card Transactions to block your card temporarily. This feature prevents new purchases and ATM transactions on your Chime card account immediately.
